- This demonstration explains the Move requester's Brush button settings.
- We will set up by creating some animation frames.
- We also need to create a custom brush for the Move requester to work with.
- Use the keyboard equivalent, Shift-M, to display the Move requester.
- Load & Save lets you recall & store the current values and button settings.
- Now we will load the default Move settings necessary for this demonstration.
- The brush buttons toggle ON, with a check mark, or OFF, without a check mark.
- `They select whether the Distance & Angle movements are rellativ to,
- They select whether the Distance & Angle movements are relative to:
- `the brushes axis orientation or the screen's co ordinate system.
- the brush's axis orientation or the screen's coordinate system.
- `To demonstrate this, we will enter Perspectiv mode by pressing the Enter key.
- To demonstrate this, we will enter Perspective mode by pressing the Enter key.
- `Perspectiv mode lets us see how the brush is currently oriented.
- Perspective mode lets us see how the brush is currently oriented.
- The overlayed grid on the brush displays the current X & Y axis orientation.
- `You can see that the ax ees are normal. X is horizontal and Y is vertical.
- You can see that the axes are normal. X is horizontal and Y is vertical.
- `Press the Enter key again to exit Perspectiv mode.
- Press the Enter key again to exit Perspective mode.
- Now we will stamp down the brush and perform an Angle move along the Z axis.
- `Back in Perspectiv mode, we can see that the X & Y ax ees are ro tated.
- Back in Perspective mode, we can see that the X & Y axes are rotated.
- Let's now perform a Distance move along the X axis, but with Brush turned ON.
- With Brush ON, the move followed the X axis of the brush.
- Watch what happens when we turn the brush button OFF.
- The move followed the X axis of the screen, which is ALWAYS horizontal.
- `With Angle moves, turning Brush ON, ro tates around the Brushes Y axis.
- With Angle moves, turning Brush ON, rotates around the Brush's Y axis.
- Turning Brush OFF, uses the Screen's Y axis, which is ALWAYS vertical.
- That's it for this demonstration, we will now clear the screen.
